I am still working towards making my first podcast. As it turns out I have some really good people that are going to help me. First off before I even get the help, I just wanted to thank Nick Tann. He is going to take some time and explain the ins and outs of the podcast. It will be fun, he has a great Podcast that if you look up Nick Tann “Is this thing on?” on Itunes you will find his podcast, and I find it very good. So hopefully you like it, he features independent music artists, and they are good. Nick also has some very funny adverts that I find absolutely funny. Anyhow enough about Nick for now. I also am going to get some help from a local boy (well local now). Luke Nugent from a radio station http://www.kicx917.com/ is going to help me put together some stuff. I got to know Luke through the daily call ins to the radio station, I can be heard some mornings as I always have something to say. But no worries, you will get to hear my voice soon enough on Podcast. I will take a funny look at some news, and other things that I find funny. And to cap it off, I will be going over my favorite music of the week. And hopefully (with permission) feature some music from some of the independents that Nick does, I’ve been quite impressed.
Okay so now onto my Obama news. Turns out the Chief Justice flubbed the Oath of Office, and really they couldn’t let that stand, so they re-did it yesterday. I will post what is on CNN.
The Constitution sets out the language that should be used in the oath: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
Roberts moved the word “faithfully” back nine spots, and used “to” instead of “of.” That threw the president off base, and he smiled and paused to collect his thoughts, then decided to follow Roberts’ lead.
But the chief justice at the same time attempted to correct himself.
Here’s how Tuesday’s oath went:
Roberts: … that I will execute the office of president to the United States faithfully …
Obama: … that I will execute …
Roberts: … the off — faithfully the pres — the office of president of the United States …
Obama (at the same time): … the office of president of the United States faithfully …
The two got the rest correct, including the nonobligatory “So help you God?” “So help me God.”
So was Obama really President? Was it done on purpose? Who knows in any case, America it seems can’t do anything right. Hopefully Obama can.
Barack Obama, what a sight to see him inaugurated into the White House. It was a great thing, people were watching all over the world. I think Canadians took great interest in this one (even more than our own election, which is true). I know from my side of things, I was glad to see him. It’s about time they have someone intelligent. I seen a concert they held yesterday. There were some good acts, even Stevie Wonder was there (poor old chap the only guy to officially be there and not see him). There were other guests, Garth Brooks, Usher, Shakira, Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, and U2. I can’t stand U2, I really can’t and I was really wishing I had a gun to shoot myself. They are terrible on albums, and they are terrible live. I tried to like them, I really did, I just can’t so there.
Anyhow shorter post today as I have lots of work to do. However there will be some comedic relief soon, as I will be working towards making my first Podcast in the near future. I am calling it……something I am not sure about that yet, however I will be thinking of it before February 1st as that will be the first one ever. I can’t wait…I will post linkies to it, and hopefully have it available in Itunes as well.
Today is a historic day, I am glad that it is Obama. I think it’s time for a change, and if Obama is everything he says he is. Then there should be some posotive change comming in the next few weeks, months, years. My personal view is that he is very intelligent, and really I don’t think that the world could have used anther redneck war mongral President (sorry Mcaine you suck). One thing I did notice was this morning watching CNN before work. They refer to the black men and women of America, African Americans. I became perplexed at this early in the morning, to realise that here in the Great White North (Canada, and no we aren’t racial). We call our black people Canadian, because that is what they are. They aren’t African Canadians, Iraqi Canadians, Chinese Canadians, or Japanese Canadians (I could go on forever). No they are Canadians. No wonder there are so many problems in the States. If you aren’t white, you aren’t accepted. Really it’s a terrible thing.
So there is now about a 4 hours till Obama takes office, and I will be happy so happy that Bush is gone. Do you think he will pardon himself of war crimes? If any other country did what they did, they would be tried in the world court. Seems fair doesn’t it? Bastards……
Now onto the sport fan in me. I just wanted to say this, the Maple Leafs suck, and I can’t wait till baseball season starts. Raptors suck, good thing I am not a Raptors fan, however there must be some bad mojo in the ACC.

It’s true, I knew it was going to happen. And it did, I was playing a game on my IPod touch, and it went flying out of my hand, hit the ceiling, and then hit the floor. My wife looked at me like I was going to get a beating, she just bought it for me for Christmas. I have to say it was like slow motion, I seen it hit fly, hit, fall, splat. There was no if or ands about this. If I would have broken it, my MP3 buying days would be over, so over it would suck, as the touch is absolutly the best MP3 player I have ever owned.
However this is one problem I keep having, the applications sync, and I can’t use them the next day. I will have to look into it, other then that it is tre-magnific.
Weekend was normal, run here, run there. Do laundry, buy groceries, visit with family. That is a typical weekend for me when the kids are home, and not with their dad for the weekend. Next weekend I am all by myself. I think I will be playing some playstation. Sweet…..
Well another week has come and gone. Ultamatly its the first official work week of the year and we are looking for about 49 more work weeks until Christmas. Thought I would throw that out there for you. So really with 2 weeks holidays this summer (3 for me yay!) I only have about 47 more work weeks to go until the blessed time of Piqued’s 41st birthday. I am sure if he is reading this he is just accepting the fact he is 40, but to be 41 may be something else for him to think about.
Work is Crazy busy this day, however I thought it was worth mentioning that there are 11 more days of George Bush doing absolutly nothing. Now I am not American, I am Canadian, but I can appreciate great comedy when I see it. However I can’t really stand another redneck President. Oh and I am happy that Obama won, and one last thought.
Please Bush, no more MLB please….don’t do anything, just go into the shaddows, and think of how you can have a war against squirrels, or other rodents.
Iron Maiden is what I am listening to right at the moment. I know it’s been a while since I got to post, but I will make it a regular point to post every working day (as time permits). There may be some poor soul who is reading this crap that I write, so it makes me feel sort of great that someone took the time to find me. Sweet… thanks.
Anyhow over the Christmas break I got my first IPod, now I am not really a fan of Apple, I hate thier computers, I hate IPods actually. However they had to go and make an IPod touch. Now that tickles my fancy. That tickles me beyond fancy. I feel like a little kid again, and I just discovered my first hard-on. It’s that fucking grreat. I love the way it connects to the shinternet, and the way I can dowload tons of free applications. There is no need to jail break this IPod (all though it does look like it is fun) it is great out of the box. I can’t say enough about it, other than it smokes every single MP3 Player I have ever owned in my life. True words, even the Dahli Lamma thinks so…

Sorry for the lack of posts lately (not that people actually read this). However it’s been insanly crazy the past few weeks. However there is one thing that troubles me to no end. The other day I lost my wedding ring. I fell in the snow, and I was brushing off my pants and wham it was gone. I’ve searched every inch of the area I lost it in, and it dissapeared into thin air. I feel like an ass. My wife isn’t mad, however I want to bring back my IPod that I just got to exchange it for a new ring. She insists that I shouldn’t. I am terribly heart broken. I don’t know what to do. …..
We thought we were headed for good news today. Looking for a little bundle of joy that we have been so excited for. For the past few months we have been very excited to be pregnant. And everything was looking good. My wife went into the ultrasound room alone with the technician. And it seemed like an agonizing life time, I finally seen my wife, she went out to the bathroom, and I looked at her from across the way and she shrugged her shoulders. I finally got to go into the room, and I was met with a look of dispair. She explained to me what happend. The technician, had done her ultrasound asked her how long she was along, and she left. She came back with a doctor and he gave us the bad news. The baby had no heart beat, and well we were both devistated. And still are, how cruel can life be? How much dissapointment needs to happen in life time. I am very happily married, and I love my wife with all I am. She means the world to me. But if this kind of dissapointment were to keep happening, I don’t think it is fair to her.
Don’t get me wrong I would love to have a child of my own. But I am really starting to believe that I am just to be a father to the ones that she brought into my life. They are great kids, and really I couldn’t ask for any better, and although I am not technically their flesh and blood father, I do love them as if they were my own. They bring me great joy, and happiness. And I hope I would be a great dad to them, as I would try to be for my own.
Although this sucks to the 10th degree, I know that it’s probably for the better. I do miss the little one that was there, and yes I love it still. We both will. It’s what we were meant to do. WE love you….
I wasn’t walking in a winter wonderland no I was driving in a winter storm warning. You know if you’ve never been in one you really don’t know what you are missing. Let me run it down for you. First you have to shovel your way to your car (or vehicle of choice). In my case I have my car, and my wife’s van. Clean around them for easy walking. Then clear all the snow off the vehicles, scrape the windows clean. Start the vehicle (this really helps global warming) Let it run for about 15-20 mins before departure. Then drive in snow covered streets for many kilometers (in my case about 80, 2 for the wife). With people who get impatient, forget how to drive. And put every ones life at risk. Other then that the snow comes down continually and it looks great. I like the snow, it’s refreshing. I would like it way better if I had a snow mobile. However as luck and fate would have it. There is no such pleasureable units in my possession.
Oh and I forgot that you can’t see the centre line at all and you have to just kinda guess that you are in the right lane. And the fun is just beginning. I did have a little scare on the mine road, I fell into a grove which tested my defensive driving to 1/3 it’s capabilities. But I do take time to practice controlled skids in empty parking lots, and on streets. Not with my wife or kids in the car, but my wife still thinks I am going to get a ticket. I would just explain to the officer that I am preparing for the worst. It is always fun to do as well. Drifting / controlled skids are great.
Weekend was full of fun……NOT…. however I won’t get into details, but it sucked monkey ass. Yesterday was good, and Friday was good. There will be daily entries from now on, even if it is small. I just want to use the creative side of my brain, whichever side that may be. Anyhow have a fun day.

My rant today is on the belief that we have to change our beliefs on account of people not believing in something. Wow I know this is a shock to some, however I was told at work the other day that it is no longer called a Christmas Party but a Holiday Party due to the multiculturalism that is displayed in the office. I have no problem with other cultures. I have no problem with free speech. However I do have a problem when I am being forced to call Christmas a Holiday because someone may not believe in it. So here goes the rant of the century on this. And I am sure it won’t be the last.
Next year for Remembrance Day, and Veterans Day are to be changed to Dead Soldiers Day because there are countries out there, and people who do not recognize this day. We don’t want to offend them. We have people from Japan, and Germany living in our countries, and we sure as hell don’t want to offend them. No, actually let’s not celebrate it at all. It is in fact just something that was one man trying to prove the size of his cock, and all these innocent men died because someone with a “bigger” cock wanted to ass rape him with his men. Let’s just do that. Let’s not celebrate nothing at all, because some where along the line we are going to offend someone.
No more birthdays, because someone who is older will be offended that you are younger. Don’t celebrate Graduations because someone will be jealous that their baby didn’t graduate because thier child is a moron. Don’t celebrate anything anymore no more wedding anniversaries, because all the single people will be offended. Oh and while we are at it, we may as well just put swastikas on our clothes, and then we can embrace Communism as well so we don’t offend anyone who believes in it. Actually we should take a piece of everything in the world and all believe in it because we are all mindless drones, and we don’t want to offend anyone.
Why does it come down to offend someone? WHO CARES if I say Merry Christmas and it offends someone. Are they going to think less of me if I don’t say Happy Holidays? You know what offends me
